Top Dolla Early Life and Education

Anthony Joseph Francis, popularly known as Top Dolla, was born on May 7, 1990 in Washington D.C., United States. 


Although not much is known about his education, it is at least known that he attended the University of Maryland. 




Top Dolla Career

Top Dolla started his career as an  American football player in April 2013 before joining WWE in January 2020. He is also a rapper and has both featured artistes and gotten featured by artistes on songs like “Olympic Gold,” “Digits,” and “Barbie Barz.” 



American Football Career

Top Dolla started his career as an American football player after he got signed by the Miami Dolphins in April 2013. Following the waivers in September that year, he was claimed by the New England Patriots. He was however released six days later and was signed to the team's practice squad on September 10. 


In November 2013, Top Dolla signed for a second time for the Miami Dolphins and was waived in November 2015 only to get signed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks two days later. He however signed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in May 2016 and was released by the team in September that year. 


In October 2016, Top Dolla joined the Washington Redskins and after different stincts with both the team's active roster and practice squad, he eventually got released in April 2018. After his release, Top Dolla publicly expressed gratitude that he was no longer part of the team as a result of its loss of respect and appreciation for him. He also pointed out the team's mascot as being racist. 


In May 2018, Top Dolla signed for the New York Giants and was released in September that year. 



Professional Wrestling Career

In January 2020, Top Dolla officially signed for the WWE but wasn't able to make an appearance as a professional wrestler until May 2021 when he appeared on an episode of NXT and establish himself as a heel in a Falls Count Anywhere match by helping Isaiah “Swerve” Scott defeat Leon Ruff. He was introduced the following week as ”Top Doll” and formed the Hit Row stable alongside B-Fab, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.


As a result of the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on WWE, Top Dolla was released from the company in November 19 2021. He however made his return to WWE in August 2022 when he appeared on an episode of SmackDown alongside Ashante “Thee” Adonis and won a match against two local competitors. In December that year, Top Dolla and Adonis lost an opportunity to win their first ever WWE championship after losing the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match to The Usos. 


Following the acquisition of WWE by TKO Group and its decision to lay off a number of employees, Top Dolla was released - for a second time - from the company. 



Music Career

In October 2017, on his YouTube channel, Top Dolla released the music video for his song titled “Olympic Gold” on which he featured J-Lew. The song was a single off his debut album titled “O.T.A.” 


In March 2022, Top Dolla featured alongside Isaiah “Swerve” Scott in the music video of “Digits,” and in March 2023, he was featured by Montesy, along with B-Fab, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, and Rich Latta, in the music video of “Price Went Up.”


In July 2023, Top Dolla, along with Ashante “Thee” Adonis and B-Fab released a freestyle titled “Barbie Barz,”
