She rose to fame after appearing on the "Make Yourself At Home" podcast, where she revealed Bud Light is no longer focused on catering to "frat guys" but rather promoting inclusivity.


In the 40-year history of Bud Light, she is the first woman to lead the organization, and she is well known for her leadership style, which gives priority to diversity and inclusivity.

Alissa Heinerscheid was born on March 14, 1984, in Rancho Santa Fe, California, United States, to Lisa Long Gordon and Douglas Bruce Gordon.


She started her education at Groton School, where she performed excellently before graduating in 2002 and going to Harvard University, where she studied and acquired a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from 2002 to 2006.


As a result of the passion she had for marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, in 2011, went to The Wharton School, where she acquired an MBA degree with a specialization in marketing.



Career

Before going to The Wharton School in 2011 to study marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid worked at Tapestry Networks as a senior associate. She later worked at Johnson & Johnson after graduating from The Wharton School as an associate brand manager from 2013 to 2015.


After leaving Johnson & Johnson, Alissa Heinerscheid started working at Anheuser-Busch InBev in May of that year. It was during her time at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where she spent seven years, that she nurtured her skills and gathered a lot of experience. She later left for the role of Vice President and Director of Consumer Marketing.


Alissa Heinerscheid assumed the position of Vice President at Bud Light, a leading beer brand in the American beer industry. Her extensive background, skills, and experience in marketing and branding management make her a valuable asset to both Bud Light and any other organization that will like to have her on board.

During the Super Bowl, Alissa Heinerscheid, together with her marketing team, created an ad that featured Keleigh Sperry and her husband Miles Teller and was aimed at making the Bud Light brand more female-friendly. However, this ad was replaced by one by Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender activist, with a partnership between the two announced on April 1st, 2023.


The recent partnership didn't sit well with loyal fans of the brand, with a lot of them criticizing it and calling for a boycott of their products. This incident led to a loss of around $6 billion in market value for Bud Light.
